This is a first-rate author whose books and writing keep getting better with every book he writes. He takes the reader's emotions and puts them through the ringer and it truly is a beautiful thing. Lucian had no mercy when writing this book. I found myself yelling, "Oh my god," "What the F*%&," "NO WAY." Lucian is anything, but a predicable author.
The plot twists and turns will keep you guessing. The placement of his humor was spot on and felt completely natural.
I am so thankful that Lucian knows when comedic relief is needed. The emotions in this book are so tangible-they jump off the pages and grip you so hard you are left dizzy. The struggles they face are heart-wrenching. The transformations that take place with Mercy and Sade are awe-inspiring. This is a story that will move you to tears. I was so caught up in the words, emotions and actions on the page, I literally forgot to breathe. I am going to try to express my feelings for this book, though I can promise that there is much more than what I am able to put in this review.įrom the first page- to the last- I kept finding that I was holding my breath. I am left, not only breathless, but speechless. My mind is still trying to process everything contained within those pages.
Oh my gosh, where to start? No Mercy is incredible. And for that, I could give a million STARS. It's take a lot to elicit that emotion out of me. I never expected the hold this story would have on my heart until the very last bit. I couldn't see my kindle through the tears. I felt like I was fighting conflicted emotions right with Sade & Mercy. But here's the thing, it didn't matter because the writing had me hooked, and the characters made me laugh uncontrollably. The story had me gasping, you know, mouth wide open, like hell to the YES. I crave the darkness and in the beginning I was fed. I'm going to tell you how it made me feel and why I absolutely loved it. I'm not going give you a play by play of the book, you can read it yourself. The part of him that loathed his dark desires stood just behind this new animal, hiding in a corner.
I could read about his dark desires for 5 books, give it to me. He's everything I crave in one twisted package. I swear I couldn't love a more complex character. Lucian Bane made we fall in love, throw my kindle, and weep like a baby.
